Espero poder tomar mejores fotos pronto!

Hasta la próxima!

  1. They're beautiful creatures. We have one resident and a couple of migrating species in my area of Southern California and they're also very difficult to catch on camera!

  2. I love humminbirds, I can't imagine my garden without these little birds. This gilded humminbird is the only year round resident, but in the spring and summer other species visit my garden such as the white-throated and the glittering-bellied emerald. Some exceptional guests are the strange black jacobin and the blue-tufted starthroat.

  3. I never saw a colibri in free nature. How nice that it spends the whole year in your garden. I am sure you have a wonderful garden otherwise the colibri and all the other animals wouldn't come to you.

  4. Perhaps they see the camera as a predator's eye?
We have sunbirds - move so fast that they are very hard to capture - altho our birds are a little larger and perch instead of hovering.

    1. Diana, thanks for visiting! Sunbirds seem to be ecological equivalents of the Hummingbirds in Africa, both are beautiful creatures! I should try to take pictures of hummingbirds with a different camera, maybe its silver color scares them! I really appreciate your blog because it shows gardening in a similar latitude and I imagine our climates aren't very different. Have a great sunday!

  6. So very sweet. I only wish that the humming birds in my garden didn't spend so much time fighting with each other.
