Rainy days, sunny days..

It's been a really really boring week in my garden, many rainy days and few totally clear days

But I am happy because my common peach trees are blooming! I love peach trees!

The flowering peach is blooming too, here on a sunny day

Can you spot the hummingbird?

On a rainy day

The spiraea cantoniensis looks beautiful

I'll grow new plants from cuttings in summer, I want more spiraeas in the garden

This pink climbing rose is blooming nicely

It blooms only once in a year in spring

Unfortunately most flowers are too high up to take good pictures of them!

On a Rainy day..

See you next time!

  1. I hope your peach tree yields delicious fruit. We discovered a peach tree on our back slope when we removed a Yucca elephantipes in 2014. The peach tree finally produced fruit this year but none of it ripened. I suspect it doesn't get enough water but that's probably not a problem in your garden!

  2. Hello Kris! Yes, my peach trees produce very nice peaches, they certainly appreciate humidity so I guess the dryness of your climate is the problem with your peach tree. While peach trees grow very nice here I was never able to stablish a japanese cherry blossom in my garden, I always lose them to root rot after months of heavy rain. Have a nice week!

  3. Your spiraeas looks gorgeous! I love white flowers. I would like to get them to my balcony garden, when the construction of our building is finished. I've never seen the peach flowers which looks lovely! Thank you for sharing:)

    1. Keity, thanks for visiting! I love white flowers too: water lilies, roses, camellias.. white is light and freshness in a garden, the spirarea is a especially beautiful white flower. Have a wonderful day!

    1. Hello Nadezda! This winter has been even warmer than usual and some plants are blooming earlier. Some of my water lilies didn't even go dormant this winter! I only hope things won't get too hot too early because that means bad news for my roses. Have a nice weekend too!

  7. It rains also here in Germany, but here starts autumn and the apple harvest - at least which remained from the frost in spring. I envy you for your peach tree. Fruit from your own garden tastes always better than from a store.

    1. Sigrid! welcome back! do you have frost in spring? incredible! my garden hardly ever sees frost in winter..Peach trees grow nicely here and the fruits are delicious! Apples on contraty don't do well here, high temperatures spoil the fruits I have an apple tree and enjoy its blooms but the fruits are useless. Have a great week!

  8. Is your rose very fragrant? I reminds me of 'Zepherine Drouhin'. The pure whiteness of your Spirea is beautiful so no wonder you want more of them.

I love peaches but they are somewhat difficult here. They suffer from many pests.
