Rainy day...

Today the rain (and back pain) keep me from working in the garden. Besides Camellias not many plants are blooming right now.

This white Camellia is usually a late bloomer and last year the heat ruined her buds before they opened, I'm glad she bloomed earlier this year!

See you next time!

  1. Good morning MDN,
It's great to see your Camelia in bloom. This year mine was so gorgeous. There are years when the flowers are opening up half brown.
Spring will arrive for you soon!!
    Have a wonderful day

    1. Hello Marijke! Camellias are very sensitive to temperature changes and sudden heat or cold can spoil the buds, fortunately they are blooming nicely this year. Have a wonderful week!

  3. She looks as though she has a faint touch of pink in her petals. White camellias are my favorites, although my current garden has only pink-flowered varieties.

    1. Hello Kris! Yes, all my "white" camellias have those pink touches and in two of them the flowers get light pink as they age.. I have never seen a pure white camellia here and I definitely want one!
