Grand Gala, the favorite rose of my beloved departed mother.
"Empress Farah", a rose of irresitible beauty, with cold the orange color of the tips becomes more intense, almost red.
Julia's rose, she was almost dead one month ago, I was about to dig her out! now she is full of buds.
Peace/Gloria Dei, visited by a bee
An unidentified white rose
White Christmas, there were two of this variety but only this one survived summer
Parure D'Or, one of the best roses of my garden: she is not as double as others but never gets sick, doesn't mind heat at all and smells wonderful.
Tourmaline, slowly coming back to life.
Unidentified climbing rose
Enjoy spring if you are in the northern hemisphere and embrace the fall if you are in the south!
See you next time!
EliminarI am sure you are happy to see fall arrive! Despite the losses the summer brought, I am impressed to see how many blooms you have as summer comes to an end - my roses do not perform half as well.
ResponderEliminarKris, with cool days I feel alive again, today I spent the whole day in the garden, mowing the lawn, weeding, transplanting roses, digging out the dead ones... I think roses bounce back quickly here because of the end of summer rains, fall is usually a good times for roses here unless things get too rainy!
EliminarThey are all beautiful! Especially Parure d'Or, which I've never seen, but would like to! I remember autumn as the best time for roses in my Missouri garden; here they come out of their summer torpor a little too slowly. Hope you have a wonderful time with the cooler weather!
ResponderEliminarAmy, I strongly recommend Parure D'Or to anyone who needs a beautiful rose in hot climates. Wish you a wonderful spring!
EliminarOh, what summer your had MDN!
ResponderEliminarNow you're in fall and the weather will change, less hot and more cool days. I wait for to open my rose coverings and to see how they are there.
Yes Nadezda, it was a horrible summer but seemingly (and fortunately) won't be protracted, sometimes heat continues in march and even april. Roses had a very bad time, lost many of them now and I have to think of replacing them. I hope spring brings lots of flowers and abundance to your garden!
EliminarSuch beautiful roses! I'm happy for you that they survived the heat of summer and that autumn will bring you welcome cooler temperatures. We're enjoying spring and looking forward to warmer temperatures here.
ResponderEliminarAfter the horribly hot summer fall is like spring here, I have to catch up with all the of pending work in the garden! Wish you a wonderful spring!
EliminarSuch wonderful roses!
ResponderEliminarAutumn is finally arriving there. I'm happy for you and your garden. The title made me smile... It's something you would never hear a Finn saying. :) Where I live we have almost one metre of snow now and we are very much looking forward to spring. :)
Big hugs! xx
Sara, fall is finally here and I - just like my roses - am coming back to life, temps during the day are still hot but nights are colder and roses welcome this relief by leafing out and blooming. ¿one metre of snow? dreamy!
EliminarHi Marcelo, your roses are beautiful and you have a lovely selection. Peace is one of my absolute favourites and does well in my garden too. We had a horribly hot summer too, and now the weather is a bit cooler I have things to catch up on. We are still very short of rain despite a good fall a couple of weeks ago.
ResponderEliminarJane, thanks for visiting my blog! Summer was terrible for my roses they are coming back to life now, the last summer was unusually dry, we had ample rainfalls recently but everything dries out very quickly.
EliminarHello again! I have been wondering what your first name is. So, is it Marcelo? Great name! In our family, there's a Marcello. :)
EliminarHave a lovely autumn weekend!
Yes Sara, that's my name! we are having some nice cloudy days lately, a much needed relief from the scorching sun. Have a nice Sunday.
EliminarBeautiful roses in your garden..., Julia's rose is so lovely!
ResponderEliminarEnjoy your cooler days, here in Norway we are looking forward to spring!
Hugs, Ida
Ida, thanks for visiting again! Julia's rose is indeed beautiful, she went through very hard times last summer but fortunately she recovers now. Enjoy spring!
EliminarWish should both celebrate together, MDN. This weekend we had the first nice spring days. I think winter is over now in Germany.
ResponderEliminarGloria Dei is also in my garden. Isn't it the most popular rose all over the world?
Sigrid, it's great we are both happy now, you with spring and me with fall. Gloria Dei is one of my favorite roses but she is very prone to get black spot and powdery mildew. Have a wonderful spring!
EliminarLindo... é pouco.
ResponderEliminarContinuação de boa semana.
Gracias Janicce! Muy buena semana para ti también!
