I think every garden should have at least one rose in it and although they may need a little more care than many other plants (specially in my warm, humid climate) I can forgive them their black spot and mildews since the joy of seeing their colours and shapes and smelling their perfume never loses its magic!

¿Do you love roses? ¿which ones are your favorite?
Marcelo, your roses are incredibly beautiful. It's a privilege to see them.
ResponderEliminarAll the roses that have a smell are my favourites. :)
Thanks Sara! I love roses so much I could not imagine living without them.
EliminarMme Driout!
ResponderEliminarWelcome Denise! Madame Driout is a beautiful rose, I planted it last year and seems to be a slow grower.
EliminarIf my roses looked half that good, I would have more of them, even with the rust they suffer from here. I have always loved 'Peace' and grew it in my former garden.
ResponderEliminarKris, Peace is a rose I love despite her being so prone to all kind of diseases here, I am not ready to give up on her.
EliminarYour rose are so lovely, they make my rose-loving heart sing.
ResponderEliminarI have many favorites, 'Golden Celebration' with its wonderful fragrance is one, 'Souvenir de la Malmaison', 'Pink Gruss an Aachen', 'Bolero 2004'.
I wonder if your unknown yellow climber could be 'Casino'? What a beautiful pure yellow color.
HB, I love, adore roses I can't imagine my garden without them. I planted the first David Austin roses this year and I am marvelled by their growth rate compared to the hybrid teas and floribundas I always planted, DA roses are fast growers and for the time being have better resistance to humid related diseases. I planted a 'Souvenir de la Malmaison last winter but it hasn't "taken off" as well as the others and powdery mildew keeps punishing her.
EliminarBeautiful roses Manolo! You have got a huge collection in your garden. My favorite is "Abraham Darby". It's spring and all your roses are healthy and colorful.
ResponderEliminarHugs!
Nadezda, I love roses and wish I had a bigger garden to plant more and more roses. Some varieties have not bloomed yet, you'll see pictures here when they do it. Happy gardening!
EliminarSimplemente ¡¡Preciosas!! Felicitaciones MDN.
ResponderEliminarUn saludo
Gracias! las rosas son mi pasión jardinera más grande!
EliminarJulia's Rose looks like the Spiced Coffee I used to grow in Porterville.
ResponderEliminarI've just seen a picture of spiced coffee, very beautiful! I love roses with unusual colours. Happy weekend Diana!
ResponderEliminarSo beautiful! My favorite roses are ones that also have marvelous fragrance. I have a few roses in my garden but yours look divine.
ResponderEliminarI love roses so much, I wish my garden were bigger to plant more and more roses. Happy weekend Peter!
