Today the day started cloudy and very, very humid. The Tillandsia aeranthos has been very happy with all these wet weeks, it multiplies prodigiously with rainy weather.
My poor Roses endured many rainy days
In the pond a water lily was wishing for the sun
And then the sun came out!
Roses were happy again...
Hibiscus too
Visitors and dwellers of the garden were happy too
See you next time!
I love your bee pictures - one can see just how happy...! What is the wonderful rose in cream with pink edges?
ResponderEliminarAmy, that rose is "Parure d'Or" one of the best roses in my garden, itis vigorous, floriferous, endures heat and harsh sun without problems and on top of that it's inmune to diseases and has wonderful fragrance, I definitely recommend this rose.
EliminarMDN, your roses looks very nice with raindrops on them, but rain all the time is boring and not good for the roses. Very beautiful butterfly!
ResponderEliminarMarit, the sunny weather didn't last much, unfortunately oday it's raining again and all this wet weeks are taking a toll on roses, many of them are losing leaves to blackspot. Have a great and hopefully warm weekend!
EliminarGood morning MDN
ResponderEliminarSo much beauty in your garden. Lovely to see the butterfly's. I tried to grow the tillandsia's indoors but no succes. Nothing helped.
Have a wonderful day.
Rosehugs Marijke
Marijke, Tillandsias love high humidity and sometimes it's hard to give them those conditions inside a house, in climates like yours they must be greenhouse plants. I wish you a wonderful weekend full of roses!
EliminarLovely rose photos Marcelo, and the Parure d’Or caught my eye too. Sorry about the rain...wish you could send some here! Only 2 degrees here this morning, but sunny, sunny, sunny!
ResponderEliminarJane, Parure d'or is a wonderful rose, strong, healthy and fares very well in harsh summer conditions. Did you say 2 C? that's very, very cold Jane ¿do you live in a high mountain area? Have a great weekend!
EliminarWe are about 500 m above sea level here and nearly 300 km from the coast and our climate is governed by Australia’s great land mass. So, hot summers and cold winters.
EliminarJane, we can occasionally have 2 c temperatures during some winter nights in july but never in may. Winter is quite short here.
EliminarHi MDN
ResponderEliminarYou love my peonies and I your Camellias from the previous post. Seems as if we can't have everything we'd wish for in our own garden:o). But fortunately there are blogs, like yours, to enjoy them anyway. I'd also wish for some rain, it's quite dry here at the moment.
Kind regards over the ocean
Alex
Alex, that's absolutely true I am absolutely fascinated by temperate climate plants in the same way many people in colder climates yearn for tropical plants. Wish you a wonderful week!
EliminarEven if they are damp, you have enviable selection of roses compared to my Icebergs.
ResponderEliminarHola MDN. Las flores están preciosas y las fotos geniales. Buen día. Besos.
ResponderEliminarFor fall, you have a LOT in bloom! How many different roses do you have?
ResponderEliminarHello Kris! I am not sure how many different roses I have, many are unidentified varieties. I should take a rose census.
EliminarI get always jealous when I see your water lilies, MDN!
ResponderEliminarI gave up on that for my little pond. Maybe it's too small. By the way water plants like water hyazinths I have to buy every year new.
Could'nt you send some of your rain direction Germany? Right now we urgently need more rain here. The soil is nearly like concrete now. When I want to dig a whole I need a electric boring tool. And I planted several bigger plants the last week! :(
Todo lo que he visto hasta ahora me encanta MDN, pero quiero visitarte con más tranquilidad y poder apreciar con calma tus preciosas fotos, el único problema es que no hablo ingles, con lo cual no puedo leerte.
ResponderEliminarUn fuerte abrazo amiga.
He visto que me sigues MDN pero no se que pasa que a mi no me aparece. Mañana con más tranquilidad me conectaré y si tienes cuenta el google + te seguiré yo y si no por blogger. Lo dicho un fuerte abrazo
